Problems such as dictators and/or terrorists

Why do we have so many problems in the world such as dictators and/or terrorists?

In my opinion many of these problems are related to our education system or lack of one around the world.

In many countries, not every person even has access to yet the basic education. In some countries education is misused, either to grow a workforce whose sole purpose is to serve the money making industry. Others use education to subdue their citizen’s mind so that their citizen will follow their government without question.

Though in my opinion, education should be an opportunity to teach and encourage independent thinking and judgment.

However, in today’s world we do not give our children a broad education anymore. Our schools often do not teach subjects such as world history, social science, anthropology, philosophy and other humanitarian subjects in depth anymore. Instead we focus on a specialized goal such as technology, medicine, or any subject that will lead us to a good paying job rather than to a well rounded person who has the knowledge to make wise decisions for his or her life.

I know the subject school and education is not simple and I could spend pages on pages writing about it. However, if we continue to neglect the education of our children, we will have ever more problems with poverty, radical ideologies and terrorism in the future.

Why do so many people give their life for an ideology?

Is it possible that they have lost hope of a brighter future on this earth?

No education, no job, not food!

Ideologies are placed in the heads by those who use these desperate individuals for their cause.

Stop thinking so much about how much money you could make and start thinking about how you can make this world a place where people respect each other for who they are, not how much money they have!
