The first government shutdown since 1996

The first government shutdown since 1996, when President Bill Clinton was in the White House. The Tea Party which is the conservative part of the Republican Party is holding the U.S.A. hostage. They are trying to force the Obama administration to change the healthcare law.
They have voted numerous times to change the law and it always failed. They went to the U.S. Supreme-court to declare the law unconstitutional and they failed. Now the budget discussion was their last option and until now they still failed.
When are politicians going to stop thinking only about themselves and care about the people who gave them their jobs?

It could cost the economy $1 billion each week it goes on! 51% of Americans say that the Republicans deserved “a lot” of blame for a shutdown
